ICC Nairobi's long-term strategy calls for a single, purpose-built facility to house all children's ministry — one building, every child, every age.
2019
Concept & Design
God gives ICC Isaiah 54:2-5. Architects commissioned. The seven-storey Dream Centre concept is drawn up and approved by leadership.
July 2022
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Pst. Craig Johnson (Lakewood Church, Houston), Bishop Philip Kitoto, and Bishop Gibson Anduvate lead the landmark ceremony with the children of ICC NextGen.
2022–2023
Approvals & Contractor
County approval (Nov 2022), NEMA environmental approval (Mar 2023), and tender awarded to main contractor. A long-fought but critical foundation of compliance.
January 2024
Construction Begins
Main contractor begins work. Ground floor slab completed by April 2024. Floors 2 & 3 slabs complete by May. All seven slabs standing by year end.
April 2024
Stop Order, then God Moves
County issues a 14-day stop order. Within weeks, the matter is resolved, power is restored, water line relocated. Praise God, the building did not stop.
2025 — Present
Phase 1 Complete
All seven floors standing. Roofing, plastering and electrical cabling complete. Phase 2 (fitting & finishing) begins. Target occupation: November 2026.
Target: November 2026
Occupy the Dream Centre
Phase 2 complete. The children of ICC Nairobi move in. The dream becomes reality one floor, one child, one generation at a time.
