Ministry Leader

Joseph Njuki “Joey” serves as the pastor of The Journey campus ministry at ICC Nairobi. With the lasting impact that The Journey had on him as a student at Kenyatta University (KU), Joey considers it a great privilege to now serve a new generation of college and university students. He is passionate about investing in students becoming fully alive as intentional apprentices of Jesus. Joseph is a husband and father. 
 

Who We Are

The Journey exists to invite college students (19-25 years) to live the way of Christ and to be catalysts of transformation in society. We create environments, experiences and spaces in universities and colleges where students can find belonging, encounter Jesus, create life-giving relationships, have fun and grow. We have a presence in three of Kenya’s main public universities – University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology and one private university -Mount Kenya University.

Who We Are

Our faith journey is both initiated and sustained by God’s grace, and it is not about what we do.

We are warm and contagious, actively welcoming and seeking to create an environment that welcomes everyone into the unfolding story.

 

We are ALL IN, choosing to be mindful, intentional and fully awake.

Servanthood is more than an action, it is a path that leads to wholeness of self and society.
