Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
What do you know?
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:6-9
Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
and you are on earth,
so let your words be few. -Ecclesiastes 5:2
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place when
I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in
your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, [a] God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I
awake, I am still with you. -Psalm 139:13-18
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. – Psalm 147:3-5
